Radio Suffolk Research

Radio Suffolk:- Sports Programme.

I listened to this show on the way home from football it was reaction after Ipswich Town's 0-0 Draw with Peterborough Utd. The Shows presenter was fairly informal and he was rude to some of the callers and he questioned some of there views. During this Half an hour there was the ten o'clock news and thenm there were two traffic reports. Which were made to help people travelling home from the football.

There was one song played in the time when I was listening, it was Nine Million Bicycles in Bejing by Katie Melua. The song that was played was not a very lively one it was a quiet song which would help any one get back to sleep easily or it would get you to sleep. This song was played as it was fairly late at night and if the song was too lively it would wake up listeners who were in bed listening to the game.

There was four telephone calls from some Ipswich Town fans then there was an interview with the Ipswich Town Manager Roy Keane. The shows presenter was fairly rude to two of the callers as he was questioning everything they said and seemed to be taking the mickey of them without them realising.

After The ten o'clock news a song was played in the background whilst in the foreground they played some of the highlights from a fairly eventful match. Also there was a jingle that was about the new speedway season that was coming up. Saying that presenters from the show would be there giving free car stickers to show that you were supporting the new speedway seaon that soon gets underway. The trouble with this show would be if you did not like sport or do not understand it then this show is not for you as you have to be a sports fan to understand this show as quite a lot of this show is relating to sport and different sports events that were happening that night ,such as all the champions league games around the world.
But this show is great for a sports fan as it keeps them up to date with what is happening all whilst they are travelling home. This show cannot be planned in advance very much such as scripts being wrote as they commentate on the match that is being played and that is live, so they just have to make it up as they go along but they can write a script for what they say before the game as nothing has yet happened so all there facts are correct.
